This five-day course consists of interactive classroom presentations and discussions of engine parts design and their relationship to engine systems. The course is a non-model specific overview of the structural design and performance features of gas turbine engines, and defines the relationship between these features and the required inspection and repair procedures. An overview of key repair processes and application examples is provided. Additional topics include a review of part management using risk analysis as well as the application of failure analysis techniques.
