Certification of Composite StructuresBased on a ‘lively tour’ among all the regulatory paragraphs of the airworthiness requirements which have been impacted by the introduction of composite structures, this 3 day course will provide the attendees with a state of the art of the current methodology to ‘certify’ a composite structure, as well as the underlying rationale. The course will be illustrated by many practical examples covering more than two decades of composite structure applications, up to, and including programmes which are currently in progress. Applications to rotorcraft, small aircraft and engines can be covered, too, upon specific request of attendees involved in this domain. InstructorThe instructor of this training course, Jean Rouchon, will share 22 years of experience in the certification of composite structures, spent within the European Airworthiness Authorities teams - first JAA, then EASA - in charge of major aircraft programmes. This course is scheduled for 24 - 26 September 2012.
