This course will allow participants to expand and develop their understanding of the design criteria which affect submarine performance, including static and dynamic control, resistance, propulsion and safety guidance.  Details will be provided on the model experimentation process which allows manoeuvring predictions to be performed and a familiarisation of the physical models and equipment involved will be provided. Propulsor concept design, control and autopilot criteria and the increased use of CFD will be discussed allowing all delegates to participate and share knowledge.
